Jessica Baron ('22) was one of only 240 students to be named a winner of the 2022 Daniels Scholarship Program! Jessica's mother Carol tells us that Jessica was the only homeschooler listed in her home state of Wyoming. Among other things, winners are selected based on their strength of character, academic performance, and leadership potential. Scholarship recipients receive up to $100,000 that goes towards their undergraduate degree. Congratulations, Jessica!

John Carlson ('22) was awarded a full tuition scholarship to Belmont Abbey's Honors College, worth $74,000! John was one of only five applicants to receive this award, out of forty who applied. Students in the Belmont Abbey Honors College focus specifically on studying and discussing the Great Books of Western Civilization. (One previous MODG grad who also attended the Honors College even said that the program was a great opportunity to delve more deeply into books already familiar to MODG students!) Congratulations, John!

Collin England ('22) received a Benedictine College Presidential Scholarship, the highest merit-based scholarship available to incoming freshmen! This full-tuition scholarship is able to be renewed each year, and is only awarded to ten new students each year. (Get an inside look at the application process in this article written by one of our News Production students!) Congratulations, Collin!

Maria Gjolberg ('22) and Calvin Paradise ('22), earlier named National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists, both advanced to Finalist standing this spring! Each finalist receives a certificate of merit and has the possibility of being named a Merit Scholar and winning a scholarship. Approximately half of the 15,000 Finalists across the US will go on to be named Merit Scholars. Congratulations on your achievements, Maria and Calvin, and best of luck moving forward!

Grace Mombrea ('22) was named to the Provost's List at her local community college, where she recently attended as a part-time student! Students on the Provost's List are recognized for their superior academic achievement, and must maintain a GPA of at least 3.75. This is a particularly impressive achievement for a student who is also still in high school - congratulations, Grace!
