The Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life. The Eucharist is the greatest gift we could ever receive.

The source and summit of Christian life is the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the

source of Christian life because it feeds our immortal souls and enables us to make present and offer anew Jesus Christ’s one redemptive Sacrifice of Calvary, which began with his Passion. All other ministries or sacraments are bound to the Eucharist or oriented to it. The Eucharist is the greatest thing we could do each day because it unites us with God in a closer union. The Eucharist is the only sacrament which we consume. Just like food helps our bodies grow, the Eucharist helps us grow more closely to God when we consume it.

It’s the summit, because the Eucharist is truly a foretaste of heaven, in which we

partake of Jesus’ body and blood as heaven and earth become most profoundly one. The whole spiritual good of the Church is contained in the Eucharist. The Real Presence of Christ is always with us, and because of this Real Presence the Church receives inward grace by the Author of all graces. We, as Catholics, have the opportunity to adore Christ in the Eucharist during Eucharistic adoration. The Eucharist is the divine and everlasting meal that Catholics join together to partake in every Sunday. The Eucharist is the celebration in which we anticipate eternal life and unite ourselves with the heavenly liturgy. The Eucharist is the most performed miracle of all time, happening every day, multiple times a day all over the world. “The Eucharist is the greatest of all sacraments because it gives grace, but it also gives Jesus Christ himself the author and source of all grace.”

The Eucharist is the source of grace. The Eucharist is the summit because in the

Eucharist we can get a glimpse of heaven.
