Open House at Thomas Aquinas College, California

High school families living in — or not too far from — Southern California may be interested in the following opportunity:

On the morning of Saturday, March 2, Thomas Aquinas College will host an Open House at its California campus . The event is open to prospective students, parents, siblings, and anyone else who would like to learn more about the college’s unique program of Catholic liberal education . The day will include a tour of the campus, including the college’s new lecture and concert hall, and guests will get to view architectural plans for the forthcoming pool and athletic center, construction of which begins later this year.

The day will begin at 9:45 a.m. with coffee and donuts, followed by brief comments from President Michael F. McLean and Admissions Director Jon Daly. In addition to touring the campus, guests will have an opportunity to watch a Socratic-style conversation, so as to learn about the Discussion Method , which the college uses in every class, and to participate in a Q&A session with admissions officers and teaching faculty. The event will conclude around noon with complimentary sandwiches and refreshments.

“This is a great way to learn about Thomas Aquinas College and to meet members of the community,” says Mr. Daly. “We encourage those who may be interested to come join us — and also to pass along this invitation to anyone whom they think it could benefit.”

Guests are asked to please RSVP online.
