Dear Mother of Divine Grace Parents and Families,

Below is an email from Joseph and Rachel Long, the directors of ProRome. ProRome is a tour company out of Virginia that specializes in high school trips to Italy. Every year they offer two programs, specifically with Mother of Divine Grace in mind. Many of our students have participated in the past few years, and the feedback has been phenomenal. I highly suggest that you consider it for your children. Here is their message, and their direct emails can be found below.

Dear Mother of Divine Grace Families:

Since 2016 our company ProRome has operated high school summer programs in Rome and Florence, one for boys (Roman Adventures) and one for girls (Bella Vita Summer Program). Mother of Divine Grace has graciously promoted these programs throughout the MODG network, and we’ve been so blessed to have such an incredible partner. The young people who come to Rome every year have been eager, happy and ready to explore their Roman and Catholic heritage. The feedback has been incredible, and every year the programs get better and better. It was a real shame to not operate the programs this year. We are, however, operating the programs next year, and they are lining up to be better than ever! If you are interested, know that there is a $200.00 discount for those who register before December 1st! Furthermore, there is a no-commitment policy in the event of cancellation. We understand that times are unsettling, but we plan on operating in 2021. If something does happen that leads to cancellation however, we’ll give a full refund. Now, onto the program overviews!

Roman Adventures (link) is an all-boys summer program unlike anything else in the world. We’ve taken the history of Western civilization and true adventure and combined them. With campuses in Rome (private villa!) and Assisi, our boys explore the greatest stories of the Roman and Christian world, told through the adventures on which they will partake. We’ve removed the classroom and added the hiking shoe, the raft, the carabiner and the mountain bike. The boys will learn about saints and martyrs, great men and heroes, as they compete in historical games and sport throughout the ancient sites and medieval sites of Rome and beyond. We will teach through the medium of imagination and adventure, as we relive the epic stories of those giants of men who came before. The boys will also have the incredible opportunity to attend Mass – in Latin – three times per week (always in a basilica!) and venerate the relics of dozens of incredible saints and martyrs (Sts Peter, Paul, Benedict, Sebastian, Lawrence, Stephen, Francis, Claire and so many more!) along the way.

June 26 - July 8 , 2021 - $4290.00 ($4090.00 with early-bird registration discount) - Accepting Boys Ages 14 - 18 and Adult Male Chaperones (Family Members)

Bella Vita (link) gives young women ages 14 – 18 the incredible opportunity to explore Italy. Although the focus is primarily on Rome and Florence, we also visit Siena, Assisi, Castel Gandolfo and the Mediterranean Sea at Santa Marinella. Bella Vita is not an academic program per se, however the girls will learn and experience more than 2000 years of history and art. The morning program features three 30-minute seminars in Art History, Italian and Music, followed by a full day of touring through the most incredible art, monuments and churches of Roman and Christian civilization. Fundamental to the program is faith formation and prayer. The girls will also have the incredible opportunity to attend Mass three times per week (always in a basilica!) and venerate the relics of dozens of incredible saints and martyrs (Sts Peter, Paul, Cecilia, Anastasia, Agnes, Sebastian, Lawrence, Stephen, Catherine, Francis, Claire and so many more!).

July 6 - 19, 2021 - $4290.00 ($4090.00 with early-bird registration discount) - Accepting Girls Ages 14 - 18 and Adult Female Chaperones (Family Members)

We understand that times are still uncertain. Please know that full refunds are possible through March of next year. If things haven’t cleared up by then, all of your funds will be returned.

If you have any questions about the program, or are interested in coming along as a chaperone, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We would love to talk.

 God bless,

Joseph and Rachel Long
