We are excited to share some of the latest service projects from our Pope Leo XIII National Honor Society students! These students have been participating in activities such as recording Shakespeare radio productions, tutoring younger students, and designing note cards for a local convent, all in their spare time!

These projects and more are featured in the latest issue of MODG's NHS newsletter. An excerpt of the newsletter describes one of the newest group service projects in the NHS:

Story Hour Project

"In story hour, we provide a service to help introduce children to literature and reading comprehension at a young age. These days, many kids really don't have as much exposure to good, enjoyable children's books," Kevin McCann, project leader, tells a newsletter staffer.

NHS members volunteer to read classic children's books, selected by MODG, in a story hour class. These classes are led by a MODG teacher, who helps to direct the young students and ensure everything runs smoothly.

"My favorite part of story hour is just being able to run this project, and to help the kids. I love to see the enthusiasm from the NHS members, who really make this happen," Kevin says.
