This short, 110-page book is divided into three sections, each with a different focus. Part I discusses the nature of interior peace and the reasons why it is fundamental to the Christian life. Part II turns to a practical consideration of peace and offers tangible suggestions for maintaining and recovering peace in many everyday situations that can cause us to lose patience. These suggestions are helpful not only for parents, but much of the advice can also be adapted to gently help children practice trusting in God in all circumstances. Part III is a compilation of writings about peace from saints, including St. Francis de Sales, St. Teresa of Avila, and Padre Pio. Each section has a number of short chapters which are generally in the 1-3 page range, so it is easy to fit in some reading in the spare moments of the day.
