We're now into April! Looking ahead, this month celebrates some wonderful saints, and of course Easter! In addition, many children are preparing at this time to receive their First Holy Communion.

Here are some fun ways to celebrate!

  • Have your child learn about Blessed Imelda Lambertini! Blessed Imelda is the patron of first communicants, and she can be an inspiring example to your child preparing for First Holy Communion.
  • The Weight of a Mass is a beautiful story about the spiritual significance of the Mass, and can be a fun read during this season.
  • These two card kits allow your children to be more involved in the preparations for their First Communion! They can make their own invitations, and there is also a "thank you" card kit! Another fantastic craft for this time is the Gates of Heaven banner kit!
  • Two more Glory Story CDs you might be interested in this month are about Saint Faustina and Saint Bernadette. Divine Mercy Sunday is the Sunday after Easter (April 24th this year), so it is a great opportunity to learn about Saint Faustina, as it was through her that the message of Divine Mercy came into the world. Saint Bernadette's feast day is also this month, on April 16th.

We hope these crafts and stories help your children enjoy living their faith more this month!
