Dear Families, 

Operation HomeFront, a nonprofit designed to support American military families, is currently accepting nominations for their Military Child of the Year Award! Nominate a child you know here!

Military dependents between the ages of 13-18 are eligible to be nominated. Nomination deadline is December 1st. Prizes include attendance and recognition at the April 2027 gala, $10,000, a laptop, and more. The children selected for this award will represent the branches of the armed forces - the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Space Force. 

Anyone is able to make a nomination - parents, teachers, friends, etc.! This award is given to outstanding young people for their academics, community involvement, and more, done all while navigating the challenges of military life. Nominators should be familiar with the accomplishments of the child they wish to nominate, and will be asked to write about their resiliency, leadership, etc. See the full nomination form here!
