Evelyn Lightfoot (Grade 9), 1st Place Winner of The Daughters of the American Revolution Writing Contest:

Evelyn earned 1st place in the 9th-12th grade chapter level for the Kate Waller Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Alexandria, Virginia. Her winning essay was her Revolutionary War paper for her MODG U.S. History/Lit class. Her prize included $100 award money, a medal, and a certificate! You can read her essay below!
