How long have you been homeschooling with MODG?
We have been purchasing some of our homeschool resources for many years, but just in the last three years we have joined and we love the books and classes that are offered. Having MODG as an option has helped us discern the path that God has led us to.
When/how did your family business begin?
Party Like a Saint began just over five years ago, on the feast of the Sacred Heart. It all started with planning my daughter’s 5th birthday. Like many children, she noticed popular party characters at other family gatherings—but those didn’t align with the Catholic culture we were striving to build in our home.

By God’s grace and a quick prayer to the Holy Spirit, I leaned on my background in graphic design and created four “super saints”: St. Helena, St. Cecilia, St. Joan of Arc, and St. Brigid of Ireland—each highlighting virtues of generosity, bravery, humility, and patience. To my surprise, my daughter and her friends loved them!
At that time, I couldn’t find saint-themed party decorations anywhere. Encouraged by family, friends, and priest, we took a leap of faith and launched an online store. Since then, Party Like a Saint has grown to serve families, parishes, and schools nationwide.

What keeps us going is hearing from customers who share how our decorations have helped them grow their domestic church or evangelize in their communities. We hope to continue supporting MODG families in celebrating birthdays, All Saints’ Day, and the Sacraments—always keeping Christ at the center of the party.
What is your favorite aspect of running a family business alongside your homeschool life?
One of my favorite aspects is the flexibility. Homeschooling and running a family business allow us to weave our days together in a way that keeps faith and family first. My children still have time to learn their instruments, take online classes, and participate in co-ops, while also watching (and sometimes helping with!) the business grow. It’s a gift to show them firsthand how work, learning, and faith can be lived as one.
What do you think MODG families would love most about your products?
I think MODG families will love how our products make it simple to weave the faith into everyday celebrations. Our saint-themed decorations and activities not only bring beauty and joy to birthdays, feast days like All Saints Day, and Sacraments, but they also spark conversations about the virtues and lives of the saints. Because everything is designed and made in the USA with Catholic families in mind, MODG parents can feel confident that the celebrations they create are faith-filled, wholesome, and aligned with the culture they’re building at home.
