Knox C (Grade 11)
Knox won the State 4-H Geology project award. He was recognized in June up in Manhattan. It's based off his volunteering, leadership and project growth. The following weekend on the state trip, he did a presentation about his achievements.

The Marek Siblings swim on a USA Swim competitive team in New Braunfels, Texas called Surge Aquatics.
Liana M (Grade 8)
This summer, Liana, who has been swimming since she was 6 years old, qualified for and competed in swim championships in the 13-14 age group category at the regional (South Texas), state (Texas), and Southern Zone (which includes Texas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and West Virginia) levels.
Liana was chosen to represent the South Texas team at the Southern Zone Open Water Championships held on May 31-June 2 at the Barren River Lake in Lucas, Kentucky, where she swam individual and team events. At that championship, Liana earned: 2nd in the Southern Zone in the 2K open water individual race.
Her relay team earned 5th place in the 300 meter x4 event. Liana's 2K "team pursuit" team finished 2nd overall.
Maia M (Grade 6)
Maia recently entered a new age group and did not yet qualify for championship meets this past summer. However, she swam in multiple swim meets and achieved multiple age group motivational standard times, which are preparing her to hopefully compete in championships in the next season!
Luke M (Grade 4)
Luke competed in the 10 and under age group category at the 2024 South Texas Long Course Championship held in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 28-30 and earned the following individual awards: 6th in the 50 Meter Butterfly and 15th in the 100 Meter Freestyle.
