We had such a wonderful time beginning our 7th season of our Light of the Faith Webinar series with our founder, Laura Berquist. Thank you to all who joined us!

Our Theme this year is the Importance of Family Life! In this episode, Laura Berquist started us off by discussing how having the end in mind is so necessary for shaping our homeschooling year with her talk “The Importance of the Whole.” 

She highlighted four things to focus on as we give our children the formation to know how to make good and true decisions.

“In my experience, children need four things to gain mastery of their actions. They need a sacramental life, they need regular heroic example, they need encouragement, and they need conversations.”

Laura references the book “Haystack Full of Needles.” by Alice Gunther. (It is available on amazon.)  She highly recommends this book as a resource to families for modeling how to love fellow homeschoolers, teach your children virtues of kindness and charity and more. Laura says the most important principal it emphasizes is that, “We must see Christ in all those around us.”
