Hello everyone,
I pray you all are having a blessed Lent - we are so grateful that you are a part of our community!
As we prepare for this Holy Week and Triduum, anticipating the coming of the risen Christ, I have been reflecting on the missionary work that the Apostles carried out following the Resurrection. Guided by the Holy Spirit, they brought the Gospel message of the healing and transformative truth of Jesus Christ all over the world. In the world we live in today, where so many have rejected the truth and its Author, it is no wonder there is so much confusion and unhappiness. The answers lie in our faith and in a life lived in striving for virtue.
In my talks and work over the last year with our community around the world (our families are now in 30 countries), I have been focusing on the missionary aspect of our school, particularly as it relates to the strengthening of the faithful! Our program is not only a transformative education for children, but often is also a transformative education for the entire family. Time and again, we receive the most incredibly moving stories of families converting to the faith because of learning alongside their children. In being a part of this community and teaching your children and making our communities in our church brighter, never doubt the missionary impact of what you are doing. It is a direct answer to the culture of today, and I believe the most effective way to bring people to the truth of Jesus Christ.
As Jesus says, “Behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.” (Luke 10:3) We know that following Our Lord’s calling is not the easiest path to take in our world, but, as Pope Benedict XVI said, “The ways of the Lord are not easy, but we were not created for an easy life, but for great things, for goodness.” Thank you for choosing to support homeschooling families, and for seeking the great things of God, rather than the things of the world.
Just as Jesus sent the disciples out two by two into the world to prepare the way for Him, we know that our families do this same thing in our modern world. The homeschooling family is a powerful and necessary building block in society, always seeking to do the will of God. As Our Lord says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send our laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10: 2) We are so grateful to see how many of you have answered the call of Christ, to labor in the fields to bring souls to Heaven. You are truly working for the salvation of the Kingdom of God.
God intends to work with parents as part of His natural order. We are so very blessed to be able to partner with parents in this mission. As Laura, our Founder, so often says, our children are talents given to us by God to be returned to Him with interest. Thank you to all who aid us in this work, either by answering the call yourselves, supporting our mission monetarily, or by your prayers for our school.
This Holy Week, I ask you to consider partnering with us by making a gift to support our efforts! We are so very, very grateful to our benefactors who support our ministry. We could not do this without you.
God bless you for your support, and please know of our prayers for your families as we conclude this Lenten season.
